DETAILS:
ntellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. IP is protected by law, which allows individuals and businesses to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. By protecting intellectual property, the law encourages creativity and innovation, ensuring creators can profit from their ideas while preventing others from using them without permission.
REQUIREMENTS:
Trademark:
Application Form: A completed application form (which can be done online via the DGIP system).
Proof of Identity: For individuals, a copy of a valid ID card (KTP); for companies, copies of the company's deed of establishment and Business Identification Number (NIB).
Trademark Specimen: A clear image or representation of the trademark to be registered.
Class of Goods/Services: You must specify the class of goods or services under the Nice Classification system (an international system for classifying goods/services for trademarks).
Priority Document (if applicable): If claiming priority from a previous foreign trademark registration, you must provide supporting documents.
Power of Attorney (if using an IP consultant or lawyer).
Patent:
Application Form: Completed application form (online through the DGIP system).
Proof of Identity: For individuals, a copy of a valid ID card (KTP); for companies, the deed of establishment and company documents.
Specification of the Invention: This includes:
Title of the Invention.
Abstract: A concise description of the invention (max. 200 words).
Detailed Description: How the invention works and how it can be applied.
Claims: Legal description of the scope of the invention.
Drawings: If applicable, drawings or diagrams that explain the invention.
Power of Attorney (if using a patent attorney or consultant).
Priority Document: If claiming priority from a foreign patent application, provide supporting documentation.
Statement of Ownership: A declaration that the applicant is the inventor or assignee of the invention.

Application Form: Completed online application through DGIP.
Proof of Identity: A copy of ID card (KTP) for individuals, or company documents for businesses.
Description of the Work: A brief description of the work, its title, and category (e.g., literary, musical, artistic, etc.).
Copy of the Work: A copy of the work to be registered (e.g., manuscript, recording, software).
Statement of Ownership: Declaration that the applicant is the creator or rights holder.
Power of Attorney (if using a consultant).
Industrial Design:
Application Form: Completed application (available online).
Proof of Identity: A copy of ID card (KTP) for individuals, or the company’s deed of establishment for businesses.
Design Drawings/Images: Clear representations of the design (front, back, top, side views).
Description of the Design: A brief explanation of the key aspects of the design.
Statement of Ownership: Declaration that the applicant is the designer or assignee.
Priority Document (if applicable): For international filings or if claiming foreign priority.
Power of Attorney (if using an IP consultant).
