Tourist Visa
A tourist visa for Indonesia is a type of visa that allows foreign nationals to enter and stay in Indonesia for the purpose of tourism, such as sightseeing, visiting family or friends, or other leisure activities. This visa is not for work or business purposes. There are a few types of tourist visas depending on the duration of stay and the visitor’s nationality.
Business Visa

However, this visa does not permit employment or work for an Indonesian company. It is intended for business purposes that do not involve direct income generation within Indonesia.
Volunteer Visa
A volunteer visa for Indonesia allows foreigners to engage in voluntary activities, such as community service, educational programs, or environmental projects. Volunteering in Indonesia requires a special type of visa as it is not covered by a typical tourist visa.
Visa on Arrival (VOA)
If you are a business owner and have shares in a company, then this is the most cost effective visa. By obtaining an Investor KITAS you will no longer be obliged to pay the DPKK fund; saving yourself a small fortune. Additionally, it is now available for 2 years!
Multiple Entry Business Visa (D2)
The Multiple-Entry Business Visa for Indonesia is designed for foreign nationals who need to visit Indonesia multiple times within a specific period for business purposes. This visa is ideal for those attending business meetings, conferences, negotiations, or managing business operations, but it does not permit paid employment in Indonesia.
Multiple Entry Pre-Investment Visa (D12)
A Multiple Entry Pre-Investment Visa in Indonesia is designed for foreign investors who need to frequently visit Indonesia for pre-investment activities. This visa allows potential investors to enter and exit the country multiple times within its validity period, providing flexibility for those who are in the process of evaluating investment opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, or setting up business structures before making significant investments.
Family KITAS (E31A)
The Family KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) is a temporary stay permit issued to family members of foreigners holding certain types of visas or KITAS in Indonesia. It allows the spouse and children of foreign nationals to legally reside in Indonesia, but it does not permit the holder to work in the country. The Family KITAS is ideal for dependent family members accompanying a foreigner who is working, studying, investing, or living in Indonesia.
Investor KITAS
The Investor KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) is a temporary stay permit issued to foreign nationals who invest in and manage businesses in Indonesia. This visa allows investors to reside in Indonesia and participate in the management of the company they have invested in. The Investor KITAS is designed to facilitate the entry and residence of foreign investors, encouraging them to contribute to the Indonesian economy.
Retirement KITAS
The Retirement KITAS is a temporary stay permit issued to foreign nationals who are 55 years or older and wish to retire in Indonesia. It allows retirees to live in the country legally for up to 12 months and can be renewed annually. This visa is ideal for foreigners who want to enjoy long-term residency in Indonesia during their retirement years.
Spouse KITAS (E31B)
If you are a foreign national, married to an Indonesian citizen, then you may apply for a Spouse KITAS. This visa is available in two kinds, Limited Stay Permit (1 year) or Permanent Stay Permit (5 years) – once you have been married for two years.
Second Home
The Second Home Visa in Indonesia is a newly introduced visa program aimed at attracting wealthy foreign nationals, investors, retirees, and professionals who want to live in Indonesia for an extended period. The visa is designed for individuals who can demonstrate substantial financial resources or invest in the country.
Child of Indonesian Citizen KITAS (E31C)
The Child of Indonesian Citizen KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit) is a visa category specifically designed for foreign children of Indonesian citizens who are under the age of 18 and unmarried. This visa allows the child to legally reside in Indonesia and is often sought when one parent is an Indonesian citizen and the child holds foreign nationality. It provides a pathway for children of mixed-nationality families to live in Indonesia and offers the same benefits as other KITAS holders.
Step Child KITAS (E31D)
The Step-Child KITAS allows foreign children who are step-children of an Indonesian citizen to live in Indonesia. It helps keep families together in cases where a foreign parent marries an Indonesian citizen, and they want their foreign child to reside with them in Indonesia. The visa is for children under 18 years old who are unmarried.
Digital Nomad KITAS
The Digital Nomad KITAS in Indonesia is a proposed visa aimed at attracting foreign nationals who work remotely for non-Indonesian companies or clients, allowing them to live in Indonesia while working online.
Extension Multi Entry Visa
This type of KITAS is usually issued to foreign nationals who need to enter and exit Indonesia frequently for specific purposes, such as business or investment activities, over an extended period.
Extension VoA
It allows foreign visitors to extend their stay beyond the initial period granted under their VOA. The VOA is typically valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days, giving travelers a maximum stay of 60 days in total.
Extension Investor KITAS
This extension allows the investor to continue living and conducting business activities in Indonesia without the need for reapplying for a new KITAS from scratch.
Extension Working KITAS
It allows foreign tourists who have been granted a temporary stay permit to extend their stay beyond the initial validity period.
Extension Spouse KITAS
A Spouse KITAS is issued to foreign nationals who are married to Indonesian citizens. It is typically valid for one year and can be extended multiple times.
Extension Dependent KITAS
If you are in Indonesia accompanying a family member that has a working KITAS, then this is the visa for you. This visa is applicable for husbands/wives and children of a primary KITAS holder. Please note that this KITAS does not allow the holder to work.
Extension Retirement KITAS
foreign nationals aged 55 years or older who wish to retire in Indonesia. This visa is typically valid for 1 year and can be extended annually.
Single Entry Internship
A single-entry internship visa for Indonesia, also known as the B211A visa (Social-Cultural Visa), is a visa that allows foreign nationals to participate in internships, training, or educational programs in Indonesia. This type of visa is suitable for non-paid or voluntary internships with Indonesian companies, educational institutions, or organisations. It is a non-work visa and does not permit paid employment.
Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (D1)
Multiple-Entry Tourist eVisa D1 is the perfect choice for a long-term stay in Indonesia. Visa issued for 1, 2 or 5 years and allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days at a time, extendable 2 times for 60 days each time. Throughout the validity of the visa, you can leave the country an unlimited number of times.
Work KITAS
A Working Visa Kitas (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) is a permit allowing foreign nationals to work and reside in Indonesia. It is granted based on employment or business activities. Applicants must fulfill requirements, including job offers or business sponsorship, undergo a thorough process, and comply with visa terms for legal residency and employment.
Child Below 18 Years Old, and Unmarried KITAS
The Child Below 18 Years Old KITAS in Indonesia is a temporary stay permit (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) for foreign children under the age of 18 who are dependents of a parent holding a valid KITAS or KITAP (permanent stay permit) in Indonesia. It allows the child to legally reside in Indonesia with their parent(s) for a certain period, usually up to 12 months, and it can be renewed. The child must be under 18 years old and unmarried
Extension Pre-investment and Internship Purpose Visa
This extension allows the visa holder to remain in the country for a longer period to continue their business exploration or internship without having to leave and reapply for a new visa.
Extension Tourism, Business, and Volunteer Visa
