KBLI
DETAILS:
KBLI stands for Klasifikasi Baku Lapangan Usaha Indonesia (Indonesia Standard Industrial Classification). It is a system used in Indonesia to classify business activities or fields of work according to specific sectors. The classification is vital for companies and businesses when registering their business activities with government authorities, as it ensures that their operations are properly categorized and recognized.
REQUIREMENTS:
Business Registration:
Legal Entity Formation: Before obtaining a KBLI code, the business must be legally registered as a specific entity, such as a Perseroan Terbatas (PT), CV (Commanditaire Vennootschap), or another recognized form of business entity.
Company Deed: A notarized deed of establishment that outlines the business’s legal structure, ownership, and activities.
Business Identification Number (NIB):
The NIB is mandatory for all businesses operating in Indonesia. It is issued through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
Businesses must apply for the NIB as part of the registration process, which includes selecting the relevant KBLI codes.
Selection of KBLI Codes:
Identify Business Activities: Business owners need to identify the primary and secondary activities of their business.
Choose Appropriate KBLI Codes: Each business activity must be classified using the relevant KBLI codes, which can be found in the latest KBLI classification guide (KBLI 2020).
Businesses can select multiple KBLI codes if they engage in various activities.
Documentation:
Company Documents: Prepare all necessary documents for registration, including:
The company's deed of establishment.
Identification documents (e.g., KTP for individuals or business licenses for companies).
Proof of Address: Documentation that verifies the business address, such as a lease agreement or utility bill.
Online Submission:
The KBLI code selection is typically done through the OSS platform. Businesses must complete the registration process online, which includes filling out the required forms and submitting the necessary documents.
Business License:
After obtaining the NIB and KBLI codes, businesses may need to apply for additional licenses and permits depending on their specific activities and industry regulations.
