A Residency Certificate (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal - SKTT) in Indonesia is an official document issued by local authorities that confirms an individual's residence at a specified address. This certificate is commonly required for various administrative purposes, such as obtaining a national identity card, registering for schools, opening bank accounts, or applying for permits and licenses.
REQUIREMENTS:
For Indonesian Citizens:
KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk): The Indonesian Identity Card.
Family Card (Kartu Keluarga): To show family connections and residency.
Proof of residence: This may include:
Lease agreement or property ownership certificate (if renting or owning a home).
Recent utility bills (electricity, water, etc.) in the name of the applicant at the stated address.
RT/RW letter: A confirmation letter from the RT (Rukun Tetangga) or RW (Rukun Warga) leaders, stating that the individual resides at the address in question.
Application form: Typically filled out at the local village office or district office.
For Foreign Nationals:
Passport: A valid passport that shows the individual's entry into Indonesia.
KITAS/KITAP: The Temporary or Permanent Stay Permit Card.
Proof of residence: Similar to that for Indonesian citizens, such as:
Lease agreement or property ownership document.
Utility bills in the name of the applicant.
Sponsor letter: If applicable, a letter from a sponsor (such as an employer or family member).
