Work KITAS

DETAILS:
The Work KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) is a temporary stay permit issued to foreign nationals who are employed by an Indonesian company or organization. It allows foreigners to live and work legally in Indonesia for a specific period, usually up to 12 months, and it can be extended. The Work KITAS is one of the most common types of visas issued to foreign expatriates who have been offered employment in Indonesia.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 18 months for a 1-year KITAS or 30 months for a 2-year KITAS

• Passport-Sized Photos: Typically, 4 passport-sized color photos with a white background are require 

• Visa Application Form:Complete the visa application form provided by the Indonesian Immigration office or embassy

•  Health Insurance: Proof of health insurance that covers you during your stay in Indonesia

• Company Sponsorship: The Indonesian company must act as your sponsor. They will handle most of the paperwork and issuance of required permit.

• Company documents:The Indonesian company must be registered and operational, with required documents such as:

  1. Company’s NPWP (tax number).

  2. Business License.

  3. Deed of Establishment.

  4. Proof of paid-up capital (minimum capital requirements apply). RPTKA (Foreign Worker Utilization Plan): The company must submit an RPTKA to the Ministry of Manpower, outlining the necessity of hiring a foreign worker and specifying the position and role. IMTA (Work Permit): Obtain an IMTA (Surat Izin Menggunakan Tenaga Kerja Asing), which is a work permit issued by the Ministry of Manpower.The IMTA is a prerequisite for applying for a KITAS Work Visa.
